Tamara Godfrey, Ph.D.

Dr. Tamara Godfrey is a licensed psychologist who provides individual, family, and couples therapy to adolescents 17 and older and adults. She believes in working collaboratively with her clients to help them achieve their goals. Dr. Godfrey graduated with a Masters degree in Community Counseling from the University of Georgia in 2002 and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Counseling Psychology from The Ohio State University in 2007. She has experience conducting therapy and evaluations with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of environments including private practice, college counseling centers, community mental health, and acute psychiatric inpatient hospitals. Dr. Godfrey uses a variety of approaches in her work with clients.

Dr. Godfrey’s special areas of interest include: anxiety, depression, women’s issues, job burnout and stress, life transitions, interpersonal issues, premarital counseling, GLBT issues, and relationship issues.  She has received training in utilizing Prepare/Enrich, a relationship inventory, which allows couples counseling and premarital counseling to be tailored to the specific needs of each couple.
